George

Dreams to be a football and a math star

‘Learning learn sign language changed everything for me. A whole new world opened up for me. For the first time I could really communicate with people. It was the best moment in my life.’

George Minja is 18 and first went to school in 2007 in another school, in Njia panda. He tranferred to Msandaka Deaf center in 2011. He likes all classes, but Mathematics and Geography are his favorites. George is full of praise for the school.

His parents see he’s becoming more independent and they are proud of him. He says his teachers and care takers are all caring and loving.  He made a great friend here, Hassani, and he enjoys to play a lot of sports, and practice his football skills!
