Close the Gap supports the Belgian division of CoderDojo

Since February 2018, Close the Gap is partnering with CoderDojo. This organization has built a global network of free, volunteer-led, community-based programming clubs for young people.

Anyone aged seven to eighteen can visit a Dojo where they can learn for free to code, build a website, create an app or a game, and explore technology in an informal, creative, and social environment. A Dojo is entirely prepared and led by volunteers. Coaches assist the participants: they explain, show, teach, and stimulate imagination and creativity.

Close the Gap has recently engaged with the Belgian division of CoderDojo to support the project by delivering the required hard-ware for all the Dojos in Belgium for a period of three years, through the PC Solidarity programme that Close the Gap has been supporting for many years. Every year, 150 laptops will be donated to the Dojos.
