The first Digi-Truck built locally in partnership with Greenlink, a solar power company, and sponsored by Close the Gap's strategic partner Arrow Electronics, has finally arrived at its first destination, the Tuleeni Orphanage. The orphanage, supported by Neema International, is located in the remote village of Rau in the Kilimanjaro Region of Tanzania and it is the home of almost a hundred orphaned or vulnerable children.

Not very long ago, this brand new Digi-Truck was only a 40’ container. Now it is on wheels and equipped with 20 fully configured laptops, 1 LED screen, 1 printer, 3 routers, 1 SSD DISK, LED lights, which will help to bridge the digital divide. Special thanks for ACTT for installing all the electronics!

The children from the Tuleeni Orphanage are now fully equipped and ready to learn!
