On 30 June, President Obama visited the magnificent work of the Desmond Tutu HIV Foundation Youth Centre in Masiphumelele, a township in the south of Cape Town.

Close the Gap has supported the youth centre for several years and implemented a full multimedia computer lab in order to help the organisation expand its educational HIV prevention projects. The US president also spoke to some young people who organise an after-school programme. He discussed the fight against HIV and tuberculosis with Archbishop Tutu.
