In order to be able to meed as much as possible the demand from our project partners we are constantly looking for opportunities to extend our product offer and test innovative applications in the market.

Thanks to Microsoft, Close the Gap was able to meet the demand from its project partner IICD in order to deliver 100 Toshiba tablet laptops to two educational projects in Zambia.

The first project is called ENEDCO: Enhance the visual presentation of educational content and is a collaborative project between different schools in the Copperbelt region to develop the capacity of teachers so they can enhance their visual presentation skills and produce and share improved teaching materials.

Secondly the ESnet project was also supported with tablet laptops. This Education Support Network shows how ICT enhances the quality of existing local teaching materials in the Zambian classrooms. The laptops are intended for practicioners and software developers in the field as well as organizations that would like to learn from the experiences of this project and implement similar activities.
