NPH Guatemala

Taking care of vulnerable children by focusing on protection, education, and the prevention of social risk

Close the Gap is most happy to shed light on the work of NPH Guatemala! While the organization dedicates work and effort to protecting the futures of many children, Close the Gap was pleased to provide this organization with 10 computer assets!

NPH Guatemala is a home in Guatemala, Central America, that takes care of vulnerable children by focusing on protection, education, and the prevention of social risk. Committing themselves to the education and growth of the people they welcome, they strive to create a warm and secure environment for the children and their families. The focus they hold on to protection makes them look after children and adolescents facing abandonment, social risk, abuse, and neglect. NPH Guatemala thus offers a home and a school for the children but also has a clinic, a computer room, a library, and other facilities. Apart from social support and education, the organization arranges recreational activities such as sports and artistic programs. In a nutshell, NPH Guatemala wants to make sure every child receives the shelter and support it deserves.

Close the Gap was very pleased to supply this wonderful initiative with 10 computer assets. The devices are used today by the organization to further invest in the future of those who call NPH Guatemala their homes, to boost digital inclusion, and to enhance equal education. As such, the material allows children to navigate the digital landscape and its possibilities while discovering new education and learning opportunities. The organization’s gratefulness for the equipment again illuminates the value of computer material and the difference it can make. Reflecting upon this collaboration, our contact at the organization shared with us how: "Your support is a ray of hope that will light the way for our children and youth to a brighter future." We are most thankful for the ability to assist their initiatives, and for the wonderful work they are pursuing to traverse the digital divide!
