In October, the brand new PC Solidarity website was officially launched.

A little over a month after the exciting announcement that Close the Gap and DNS Belgium's PC Solidarity Project would be renewed, the project's website is officially launched. PC Solidarity is the name of the project that will operate under a newly created non-profit organisation, DigitalForYouth.be, created by DNS Belgium and Close the Gap.

PC Solidarity wants to support Belgian projects that want to enlarge opportunities of youth with a vulnerable background. Over the course of the years, since the start of the PC Solidarity project, about 20000 computers have already been placed in Belgian schools, community centers and other organisations with a social goal linked to youth in mind.

With the re-launch of the project, Close the Gap and DNS Belgium want to focus on Belgian youth with a distance to the job market or with a vulnerable background. This way, these youngsters will also receive the opportunity to develop their digital skills.

Soon, the first call for proposals will be opened, where projects can apply for computers coming from the PC Solidarity project. There will be three calls per year, evenly spaced so that one is always open. These calls are made possible through the partnership with the King Bauduoin Foundation.
