PC Solidarity

Belgium

Launched in 2009 with the support of DNS Belgium, PC Solidarity is Close the Gap’s major project in Belgium for bridging the digital divide.

PC Solidarity organises calls for proposals for Belgian organisations with a social aim to develop the ICT skills of their target group in order to eventually enhance the employability of vulnerable persons.

Organisations that have benefitted from computer material donated through the PC Solidarity project are among others BeCode, CoderDojo Belgium and MAKS VZW.

The funds raised through the annual sports event Move to Close the Gap (formerly known as Bike to Close the Gap) are also donated to PC Solidarity to support Belgian projects in bridging the digital divide.
